Heritage Action refunds all donations after admitting Obamacare can’t be stopped until 2017
Heritage America said that the organization is refunding all donations it received in the last two months tied to the fight over the debt limit and government shutdown. CEO Michael Needham told reporters:
“Everybody hates Obamacare, but everyone also understands that we will not be able to repeal this law until 2017, when of course we expect a complete Republican victory in the House and Senate, as well as the inauguration of President Cruz.
“We decided to refund all the money we raised because we didn’t want to give our loyal members the impression that we shutdown the government and threatened to destroy the full faith and credit of the US government for generations to come just for some grandstanding and fundraising. This was never about us raising money off uninformed, hateful people. It is our sincere hope that the money we refund will be contributed to future battles when conservatives have a better chance of winning, and look forward to the day when we can restore the nation to its ideal state as it was in 1955. Oops, I mean, 1840 of course.”
