“Just because you are offended by something, doesn’t meant you have to stop someone else from using it,” said Tammy Long.
Tammy Long is the mother of Cody Long, who wants to wear a t-shirt with a giant Hitler face and Swastika on it to school. The shirt was given to Cody by a friend who later died. Tammy said Cody doesn’t wear the t-shirt as a way to show hate, but as a way to remember his friend.
Isn’t that sweet?
She says it is wrong for school administrators to stop her son from wearing it. “He won’t be ‘him’ if someone continues to tell us how to be and how to dress and how to act,” said Tammy.

Minor update / correction.
If you click on the link to the original story, above, you will see that the article of clothing in question is not actually a giant Hitler Nazi swastika t-shirt.
However, every single argument that both Cody and his mom actually use are arguments that would apply equally well to a giant Hitler Nazi swastika t-shirt.
Therefore, we decided to just save everyone some time and get to the real conclusion that this type of thinking leads to sooner, rather than later.
